The broken is constructed of oak with a dark stained finish. The handle of the boken is wrapped in a black nylon cord, just as a katana would be. The broken has been constructed with high detail to replicate the look and feel of a katana, with a kissak at the end of the tip and a pentagonal spine and blade.

Great training sword for at home practice. I’m a martial arts student in weapons training, and with this sword, I can feel the edge of the blade. As in “this is how it’s supposed to be swung, and angled… this is how its supposed to feel in my hands” great for understanding how an edged weapon should feel in one’s hands.
